Kortney and Ryan's wedding was probably the most uniquely themed wedding I have done all year as well as the very last wedding I did in 2009 as it was held on New Years Eve! Since the photos are so fantastic, I had to divide the posts into thirds.

Their ceremony was held at the magnificent St Boniface Catholic Church in Louisville. The Kentucky classic Brown Hotel was chosen for their reception site.

The agenda was packed and at the last minute we realized that that to get all the photos Kortney and Ryan would need, we would most certainly need a second photographer for part of the day. Angela luckily happened to be free and was so excited to be a part of this wedding that she agreed to be the second photographer. This was the first time that Angela was my second photographer. It was a unique night! I will make note above the photos which ones are Angela's photos.

Kortney told me that when she was trying on dresses in Atlanta, the designer Romona Keveza was actually there at the dress shop and said that she had to custom design a dress for Kortney. What a fabulous story and stunning dress - Kortney changed belts from the ceremony to the reception-

I took a quick trip to a loft at Glassworks for some cool photos of the guys-

Kortney was a bit emotional after she put on her dress, encouraging her bridesmaids to distract her with laughter :)

Ryan's grandfather has this awesome antique Mercury that he let them borrow for the get-away car- such a fantastic touch.

I photographed the rehearsal dinner of Kortney and Ryan and wanted to share a glimpse of the evening.

It was held at Bucks Restaurant and Bar downtown Louisville-

The food was delicious!

Helen and Chris came in for a couples portrait session -- like an engagement session but just after you are married. I posted those photos a few weeks ago but I have been holding out on my readers -- they also did a super-hot dreaming in the dark couples session. Taking a cue from Posh and Becks recent sexy photosessions -- you can be hot as a couple as much as you can be alone!

Leigh-Ann is so gorgeous and I just love her Dreaming in the Dark session! I actually went to her house to photograph and she had some great props to use which added a lot of variety to the 'looks'. Love the little vintage mirror and table and the claw foot tub outside! Leigh-Ann is an amazing hair stylist in Lexington and did her own hair (of course :) and she had Ana Crane-Simpson do her makeup.

{ Mandy + David Wedding by Amy! }

When I first met Mandy she said she was 'over the top'. My curiosity was peaked :) and I was really looking forward to her winter wedding to see how her adorable Diva personality would be carried out through her wedding. Mandy and David held their ceremony and reception at the Estes Chapel on the Asbury Campus in Wilmore, KY just a 30 minute drive from Lexington. In the room where Mandy got ready, she totally decorated it with mirrors, fur blankets and pillows, petals on the floor, and black and white photos. She had all of her details like shoes, jewlery, corset, etc all laid out for me to photograph like a display window. Mandy is a true glamour girl and even teaches dance class. David, on the other hand, is a laid back guy. They make a great pair!
